Make the call on your computer
Open Suparelay in your browser, allow the microphone, and make a call from a computer. You do not need to install an app, a SIM, or a phone number of your own.
The call leaves the computer over the internet and rings a landline or a mobile. Suparelay Web is the site. Suparelay Desktop is optional.
Call a number
The browser dialer shows the price per minute before you call.
Four ways, and which needs a phone
One way to call someone from a computer needs no handset beside you. There is no single best way to call from a computer: a phone nearby changes which of these works.
Place the call
Open the browser, allow the microphone, and call. You can use a computer as a phone for that outgoing call.
Open Suparelay in the browser you already use
On a Windows PC, a Mac, or a Chromebook, open suparelay.app. A current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari is enough.
Type the number in international format
Start with the plus sign, then the country code, then the rest. You call a landline from a computer, and you call a mobile from a computer, with the same steps. The two prices can differ.
Allow the microphone
The browser asks for microphone permission. Choose Allow. A built-in microphone or a headset both work.
Add prepaid credit when the balance is short. The price for the number is on screen before you press Call.
Press Call
The other phone rings on the normal phone network.
Talk, then end the call
Mute when you need quiet, and open the keypad for an automated menu. Press End when you are done.
Windows, Mac, and Chromebook
The browser path is the same. The microphone control, and the feature that still needs a phone, are what change.
Windows PC
A call from PC uses Chrome or Edge. To call from a PC through a phone, Phone Link keeps an Android phone or an iPhone nearby, with Bluetooth on.
Mac
Use Safari or Chrome. In Safari the microphone list is under Settings, Websites, Microphone. Apple can relay an iPhone's cellular calls when both use the same Apple Account and Wi-Fi, with Calls from iPhone turned on. A Mac mini, Mac Studio, or Mac Pro needs an external microphone or headset for that iPhone path.
Chromebook
A Chromebook runs Chrome. Allow the microphone from the lock icon. Phone Link is not on a Chromebook.
What you need
A browser, a microphone, and an internet connection on your side.
A current browser
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, or Samsung Internet, at the oldest version that still shows the dialer, or a newer one. A Chromebook uses Chrome.
A microphone
The computer's built-in microphone or a headset. Speakers or headphones let you hear the other person.
An internet connection
Wi-Fi or mobile data on your side.
Browser versions
An older browser asks you to update instead of showing the dialer.
What a call costs
A call from a computer is not free, and there is no free trial. You pay per minute.
The price depends on the country and on whether the number is a landline or a mobile. There is no subscription, no monthly fee, no connection fee, and no hidden fee. Billing starts when the call is answered, and each started minute is charged in full.
When the call does not go through
Most failures are a blocked microphone, a number without its country code, or an old browser.
They can't hear me
A blocked microphone is why the other person gets silence. Open the site settings for suparelay.app and set the microphone to Allow. If the computer itself has the microphone muted, unmute it there, or plug in a headset.
The number is not in international format
Type a plus, the country code, and the rest of the number. A missing country code dials the wrong place, or no place.
The browser is too old
Open the site in a current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
The sound is poor or the call drops
A weak connection can drop the call or make it hard to hear. Use a stable Wi-Fi connection on your side.
What it does not do
Outgoing calls to ordinary phone numbers. That is the whole product.
No incoming calls or texts
Suparelay does not receive calls, text messages, or verification codes. A return call to the number they saw does not reach you.
No emergency or special numbers
You cannot call 911 from a computer, or 112. Premium-rate numbers and short service codes are not supported.
Caller ID is a Suparelay US number
The other person does see a number. It belongs to Suparelay, not to you, and it is a US number. The terms do not guarantee which caller ID they see.
Questions
Credit, voicemail, and a call that nobody answers.
Yes. The minimum purchase is 5 US dollars. Credit does not expire while the account stays open. You can turn on automatic top-up. Purchases of credit are final.
