What still rings a landline?
Teams Free has no credit for calls to normal phone numbers. The Dial Pad inside it only spends Skype Credit you already hold, so you cannot call landlines like Skype did unless that credit is still there. Teams Phone is a separate product. What should you do if you used Skype?
Chat and a phone call are different jobs now. Keep chat and meetings in Teams Free. Use a calling service when the other person is on a landline or a mobile.
Open Microsoft's retirement page and follow its export steps. It lists January 2026, deletion from 1 April 2026, and a portal until 15 June 2026. All three have passed.
