+373 explained
The Moldova country code, 373, is what you dial before a Moldova number when you call from abroad. It is also known as the Moldova dialing code, Moldova calling code, or Moldova phone code. In the Moldova phone number format, +373 comes first, then the area code, such as 22 for Chișinău, then the local number.

Questions about +373
Which country is +373?
+373, or country code 373, belongs to Moldova.
What is +373?
+373 is the part you dial before a Moldovan number when you call from another country. It replaces the first 0 of the number.
What is the difference between +373 and 00373?
The + stands for your exit code. 00 is the exit code in Moldova, Europe, and most of the world, so 00373 and +373 reach the same number there. From the US and Canada, dial 011 373 instead.
Do I drop the 0 after +373?
Yes. The 0 is Moldova's trunk prefix and works only inside Moldova. Dial +373 22 212 345, not +373 022 212 345.
Can I text a +373 number?
Yes. Write the number as +373 without its first 0, and your phone sends the text abroad at your carrier's international rate.
How much does it cost to call Moldova?
A call to a Moldovan mobile can cost more than a call to a landline. The dialer on this page shows the exact price of the number you enter before you call.
